Feeding wild birds is a popular hobby, second only to gardening in north America. Most important is fresh high quality seed free of fillers. Use a seed blend that is designed for the feeder and the type of birds that come to that feeder. We have a large selection of competitively priced, high quality bird food and feeders. Join our Frequent Bird Feeder Program and when you buy 12 bags (any size) you'll get the next one FREE. It's important to keep your birdfeeders clean as well as the ground surrounding the feeder. If possible, move your feeding stations periodically, so there will be less concentration of bird droppings. Multiple feeders, especially during the winter months, reduces crowding and stress which leads to disease. Native plants and shrubbery provide protection for the birds but also for predators like household cats. For this reason it's recommended that feeders are place at least 5 to 12 feet from the brush. Fresh clean water is also important for healthy birds.
