This year I've tweaked the list to highlight plants that are not necessarily
cutting-edge new, but relatively new and actually perform well in our area. Some of the so called
'must have' hot releases eventually disappoint us when their variegation
disappears, their flower color fades, they grow painfully slow, and/or they
don't over winter well. The plants featured in the Good New Stuff section are
ones that are reliable, vigorous and winter hardy.
Effingers has been in
Belleville for 25 years growing a huge selection of quality perennials, unique
annuals, awesome herbs, popular roses, select flowering shrubs, ornamental
trees, water plants, native plants and garden accessories.
We've a terrific selection of ornamental trees &, shrubs including
Color Choice varieties, Jackson
& Perkins roses, perennials including
Designer Daylilies, large 5 in annuals including
Proven Winners, and ground covers
including Jeepers Creepers. These programs offer the best
plant varieties available in the country today. We've also stocked a nice
variety of native plants including
American Beauties, and Grow Native.
We have large 3 inch herbs from Kaiser Hill, water plants, tropicals, vines and
lots and lots of fruit and veggie plants. We have bright colorful pottery,
hanging baskets, bamboo screening , potting mixes , seed and a full line of
Espoma organic gardening products.
