Native
Plants
Native plants are gaining popularity because of their natural adaptation to
our climate. These plants generally display better hardiness, disease and
insect resistance and tolerate local weather extremes. Native plants
conserve soil and water because they don't require fertilizers and
pesticides.
This year,
2007, Effingers is expanding their native plant program with additional
perennials, trees, shrubs and grasses. We will also offer three type of
native seed mixtures: Prairie Palette, Songbird Savannah, and Quail Call.
Informative brochures, free of charge, will also be offered that help you
get started with your first native gardening project or to enrich an
established native landscape design. To check out our expanded native plant
menu for 2007 -
